UBS analysts have lowered their rating on British Land Company PLC from 'buy' to 'neutral', citing structural challenges in the UK office sector driven by accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence. In a research note published February 5, the team highlighted that AI-related automation could reduce traditional office headcount growth by up to 15% over the next five years, exacerbating a vacancy rate that already stands at 11.2% in London and 9.8% across major regional centres. UBS now expects overall office rental income growth to average just 1.5% per year in the 2026–2030 cycle, down from their prior forecast of 3.2%, and has cut its long-term net asset value estimate for British Land by 8%.

UBS announced that four of its financial advisor teams in the Southeast region have been ranked #1 in their respective states on the 2026 Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams list. The teams collectively manage over $12 billion in client assets and were selected from a pool of more than 6,100 teams that oversee $8.3 trillion in aggregate.
