UnitedHealth launched a six-month Rural Payment Acceleration Pilot to halve Medicare Advantage payment times for rural hospitals from under 30 days to under 15 days in Oklahoma, Idaho, Minnesota and Missouri. The pilot follows a Senate Judiciary Committee probe alleging UnitedHealth used aggressive diagnosis collection to boost Medicare Advantage payments.
