UNH•UnitedHealthcare’s 2027 Medicare Advantage plans target $0 premium options for about 90% of eligible consumers in its footprint. Plans retain $0 primary care visits, preventive services and Tier 1 prescription copays, with updated UCard payment features planned.
1. Premium and benefit plans
UnitedHealthcare said its 2027 Medicare Advantage plans will focus on affordability, simpler benefits and a more connected member experience. The company targets $0 premium availability for about 90% of eligible consumers in its footprint, while keeping $0 primary care visits, preventive services and Tier 1 prescription copays across its member base.
2. Plan and card changes
The portfolio will emphasize HMO, D-SNP and C-SNP offerings to tighten care coordination for dual-eligible and chronic-condition populations. Planned UCard updates for 2027 will separate identification functions between a dedicated member card and a separate UCard, which will add Mastercard-enabled payment capabilities.
