US 30-year mortgage rate falls to 7.24%, Freddie Mac says

Freddie Mac said the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell to 7.24% on Oct. 29, 2026, from 7.32% the previous week, while the 15-year rate declined to 6.6%. The rates were above their year-earlier averages of 6.17% and 5.41%, respectively.
