U.S. Antimony updates Q3 MIL-SPEC ingot deliveries under $245 million DLA contract
UAMY•U.S. Antimony updated third-quarter deliveries under its existing $245 million sole-source contract with the Defense Logistics Agency, citing new feedstock deliveries and processing of Montana material.
1. Feedstock and processing update
Antimony flake feedstock from a partner’s Bolivian hydrometallurgical facility arrived at the Thompson Falls smelter during the quarter; the company said it was about 99% pure, compared with the MIL-SPEC ingot requirement of more than 99.6%. U.S. Antimony also began processing Stibnite Hill material and said stockpiles at Radersburg exceeded 400,000 pounds of antimony, which it expects to lower feed costs and improve product margins.
