US Cash Crude-Grades mixed as US crude stocks and refinery demand rise

- Light Louisiana Sweet for October delivery fell $1.12 to a midpoint of a $1.88 premium and was seen bid and offered between a $1.25 and $2.50 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
- Mars Sour rose 30 cents to a midpoint of a 30-cent premium and was seen bid and offered between a discount of 40 cents and $1.00 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
- WTI Midland fell 5 cents to a midpoint of a 75-cent premium and was seen bid and offered between a 65-cent and 85-cent a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
- West Texas Sour rose 55 cents to a midpoint of a $1.15 discount and was seen bid and offered between a $1.25 and $1.05 a barrel discount to U.S. crude futures CLc1
- WTI at East Houston, also known as MEH, traded between a $1.15 and $1.35 a barrel premium to U.S. crude futures CLc1
- ICE Brent October futures LCOc1 fell 74 cents to settle at $87.84 a barrel
- WTI October crude CLc1 futures fell 13 cents to settle at $82.23 a barrel
- The Brent/WTI spread narrowed 67 cents to last trade at minus $5.55, after hitting a high of minus $5.53 and a low of minus $6.32
Crude stocks rise less than expected as refinery utilization increases
HOUSTON, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Grades were mixed on Wednesday, dealers said, as domestic crude edges slightly higher while refinery demand also increased.
Crude inventories rose by 95,000 barrels to 428.9 million barrels in the week ended August 21, the EIA said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 597,000-barrel rise. EIA/S
Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub rose by 1.2 million barrels in the week, the EIA said.
