US East coast distillate stockpiles fell to record lows in latest week, EIA says

U.S. crude oil production rose to 13.9 million bpd, matching the record high reached in November 2025, the EIA data showed.
Refinery utilization and crude inputs rise
Total U.S. refinery utilization rose to 98% during the week, the highest level since August 2018, EIA data showed. Refineries in the Midwest operated at a record 103.5% of capacity.
Net crude oil inputs to U.S. refineries increased to 17.5 million barrels per day (bpd), the highest since August 2019, the data showed.
EIA says East Coast distillate stocks hit a record low
U.S. East coast distillate stockpiles fell to a record low of 19.3 million barrels in the week ended August 28, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday, based on data going back to 1990.
