US energy firms cut rigs for first time in four weeks, says Baker Hughes

U.S. energy firms this week cut the number of rigs operating for the first time in four weeks, energy services firm Baker Hughes said in its closely-followed report on Friday.
The total oil and gas rig count, an early indicator of future output, fell by five to 588 in the week to August 21.
