USO•Energy Secretary Chris Wright said he was “highly confident” Europe would draw down emergency diesel inventories to ease soaring global fuel prices. The Trump administration has urged Germany and France to release stocks or face a potential U.S. diesel export ban, according to three people close to the discussions.
Wright told Fox News that Europe could help ease soaring global fuel prices by drawing down emergency diesel inventories. He said a coordinated release would help supply as harvest season and winter heating oil season approach, adding, “I think we have some positive news coming.”
