U.S. M&A announcements fell 1.7% to 1,201 in September compared with August, and aggregate deal spending dropped 27.5% month over month. Activity declined in 13 of 21 sectors over the past three months compared with the same period a year earlier. NVIDIA's $11.9 billion agreement to acquire Hugging Face led September's announced deals, followed by GE Aerospace's $11.8 billion agreement to buy Consolidated Precision Products.
