U.S., South Korea announce $22.30 billion investment in Project Star energy campus in Texas
NEE•The U.S. and South Korea announced a $22.3 billion investment in Project Star, an energy campus being jointly developed by Related Companies and NextEra Energy with Lewis Energy Group in Encinal, Texas. The project is expected to create 8,400 jobs during peak construction and provide 6.47 GW of natural gas generation for a 5 GW data center campus.

The U.S. Department of Commerce and the government of South Korea announced a strategic investment in Project Star, a $22.3 billion energy infrastructure campus in Encinal, Texas, jointly developed by Related Companies and NextEra Energy in partnership with Lewis Energy Group.
2. Power and jobs
Project Star is expected to create 8,400 jobs during peak construction and provide 6.47 GW of natural gas generation to support a privately funded 5 GW data center campus that Related Digital is developing on an adjacent site. Initial generation is expected online as early as 2029.
