March 6 (Reuters) - The main U.S. stock indexes recovered on Friday after a hammering in the previous session, though markets were still on track to end the week in the red as rising government bond yields and geopolitical tensions weakened risk sentiment.
At 13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.77% at 53,166.57. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.47% at 7,677.07, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.48% at 26,191.47.
