Broadcom Inc AVGO.O slipped as its Q4 revenue outlook came in below estimates, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company HPE.N fell after flagging shortages hitting AI server demand.

Principal Financial Group PFG.O jumped after a report that Samsung Life was eyeing a stake, while NetApp Inc NTAP.O climbed after a Q1 beat on AI demand and a lift to its annual forecast.

Wall Street rises after Waller comments

Wall Street's main indexes rose on Thursday after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said he could support holding rates steady this month if data confirms price pressures are cooling off.

At 1330 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1.16% at 53,679.00. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.99% at 7,742.57, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.31% at 26,562.24.
