US Stocks-S&P 500, Dow futures muted ahead of jobs data; chips, software stocks rise
SPY•Airbnb and solar stocks also move higher
Vacation rental company Airbnb ABNB.O gained 8.8% after beating second-quarter revenue estimates, helped by strong global demand for travel and a boost from first-time users during the FIFA World Cup.
Solar stocks First Solar FSLR.O gained 8.7% and SolarEdge SEDG.O climbed 1.8% after Trump's polysilicon trade actions to compete with China.
Futures little changed ahead of jobs report
S&P 500 and Dow futures were little changed on Friday ahead of a key U.S. jobs report that could influence the interest-rate outlook, while Nasdaq futures rose as Microchip Technology and Atlassian's strong forecasts lifted chip and software shares.
Wall Street's main indexes were headed for strong weekly gains, with the S&P 500 and the Dow set for their best week since April and the Nasdaq on track for its strongest weekly advance since May.
