US Stocks-Wall St futures rise as US, Iran pause hostilities

At 5:50 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis YMcv1 were up 544 points, or 1.04%, and S&P 500 E-minis EScv1 were up 75.75 points, or 1.02%. Nasdaq 100 E-minis NQcv1 were up 475.75 points, or 1.68%.
Futures tracking the interest-rate-sensitive Russell 2000 small-cap index RTYcv1 rose 1.4%, while the CBOE Volatility index .VIX dipped 1 point to 17.59.
Earnings from several 'Magnificent Seven' companies, including Microsoft MSFT.O, Amazon.com AMZN.O, Meta META.O and Apple AAPL.O, are due this week and will test the AI trade further.
Microsoft, Amazon and Meta were up over 1% each, while Apple edged up 0.1%. Chip stocks Marvell Technology MRVL.O gained 4.2%, Micron MU.O added 3.6% and industry leader Nvidia NVDA.O rose 1.2%.
Negative cash-flow reports from Alphabet GOOGL.O and Tesla TSLA.O last week added to concerns about debt-fueled corporate spending on developing the technology. Chinese chipmaker CXMT Corp's 688825.SS stellar debut also signaled intensifying competition for the U.S. semiconductor industry.
