Universal Technical Institute has introduced its nine-month HVACR diploma at the Lisle, Illinois campus, marking the eighth state location for this program alongside California, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida.
The diploma covers troubleshooting, service and installation of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, equipping students for entry-level technical roles upon completion.
This addition aligns with UTI’s multi-year North Star Strategy to address nationwide technician shortages by increasing access to hands-on skilled trades education.
UTI’s Atlanta facility, scheduled to open in Summer 2026, will also provide the HVACR diploma, expanding geographic reach and supporting growing industry demand.
