VAALCO Energy brings Gabon ETSEM-3H well online at 2,000 gross bpd
EGY•VAALCO Energy brought its offshore Gabon ETSEM-3H development well online, where it stabilized near 2,000 gross barrels per day, or 1,140 net to VAALCO. Baobab Phase 5 drilling has started offshore Côte d’Ivoire, with its first new producer expected near the end of 2026.
1. Gabon well online
VAALCO Energy completed its offshore Gabon Phase 3 drilling program and brought the ETSEM-3H development well online. The well stabilized near 2,000 gross barrels of oil per day, or 1,140 barrels per day net to VAALCO. The Borr Norve rig was demobilized from the SE Etame platform after the campaign.
2. Côte d’Ivoire drilling
Baobab Phase 5 drilling has started offshore Côte d’Ivoire. The first new producer is expected online near the end of 2026, and the program is positioned to drive meaningful production growth in 2027 as additional wells are completed sequentially.
