Vaalco Reports 4,700 Net BOPD at Ebouri-5H, HE-9 Well Hits 529 BOPD
EGY•Vaalco’s Ebouri-5H well in Gabon delivered over 8,000 gross BOPD (4,700 net) across 300 meters of Gamba sands and the rig mobilized to the SEENT platform for the ETBNM-3 well. In Egypt, the HE-9 well posted 529 gross BOPD with 26 meters of net Asl B pay.
1. Gabon Ebouri-5H Well Performance
Vaalco drilled, completed and placed the Ebouri-5H development well on production at the top of the structure, encountering 300 meters of net pay in high-quality Gamba sands and achieving an initial flow rate exceeding 8,000 gross BOPD (4,700 net) with very low water cut.
2. SEENT Platform Mobilization and ETBNM-3 Plans
Following the Ebouri-5H success, the rig was mobilized to the SEENT platform to drill the ETBNM-3 development well, a slanted directional well targeting gas and condensate in the Dentale D15 reservoir, where produced gas will be used on-site to displace higher-cost diesel.
3. Egypt HE-9 Well Outcome
In Egypt, Vaalco completed and brought the HE-9 development well online, encountering 26 meters of net pay in the Asl B reservoir and achieving an initial flow rate of 529 gross BOPD, surpassing predrill expectations and marking the first well of the 2026 onshore campaign.
