Vail Resorts Q4 net income falls on poor weather
MTN•Vail Resorts reported a fourth-quarter loss per share of $5.34, compared with $4.99 a year earlier, citing poor weather. The company expects fiscal 2027 net income of $158 million to $233 million and resort reported EBITDA of $805 million to $865 million.

Vail Resorts said historically low snowfall and snowpack in the Rockies and Australia reduced visitation and revenue. The company reported a fourth-quarter net loss attributable to Vail Resorts of $190.15 million and a loss per share of $5.34, compared with $4.99 a year earlier; its loss per share missed the $5.23 consensus estimate.
2. Fiscal 2027 outlook
The company expects fiscal 2027 net income of $158 million to $233 million and resort reported EBITDA of $805 million to $865 million, including $14 million in one-time costs. It expects $25 million in incremental efficiencies from its resource efficiency plan.
3. Pass sales and savings
Vail Resorts said its cost management and resource efficiency transformation plan delivered $45 million in savings. Unlimited pass products outperformed lower-frequency offerings, while declines were concentrated among destination frequency passes.
