VLO•Second-quarter profit beats estimates
July 30 (Reuters) - Refiner Valero Energy VLO.N surpassed Wall Street expectations for second-quarter adjusted profit on Thursday, helped by higher refining margins as tensions in the Middle East increased demand for U.S. fuel exports.
The San Antonio, Texas-based company posted an adjusted profit of $12.54 per share for the three months ended June 30, compared with analysts' expectations of $10.12 per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
