In the week ending June 26, US-listed ETFs saw net creations of $44.3 billion. Quarter-end “heartbeat” trades drove a $51.4 billion inflow into the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF while the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF experienced a $53 billion outflow.
Through mid-year 2026, US-listed ETFs have amassed over $1 trillion in net inflows, marking a record pace for the sector. At this trajectory, the industry is on track to exceed $2 trillion in annual inflows by year-end.
The unusually large redemption from the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF largely reflects quarter-end rebalancing rather than a sustained shift away from the fund. Investors will watch next week’s figures for clearer trends in fund preference.
