Vaxcyte says Phase 3 OPUS-1 trial of VAX-31 meets primary endpoints versus Prevnar 20, Capvaxive
PCVX•Vaxcyte said its Phase 3 OPUS-1 trial of VAX-31 met its primary endpoints in adults compared with Prevnar 20 and Capvaxive. The company expects additional Phase 3 results in the first half of 2027 and plans a BLA submission in the first half of 2028.

Vaxcyte reported positive topline results from OPUS-1, a pivotal Phase 3 trial of its VAX-31 pneumococcal vaccine in adults. The study met its primary goals across age groups, with broadly comparable immune responses and safety to the comparator vaccines, and added coverage for strains not included in them.
