Separately, Lightmatter appointed AI veteran Roy Kim to lead product strategy for its Passage™ photonic interconnect and Guide™ VLSP light engine.
1. FedEx Small Business Grant Victory
On April 8, Venti Technologies emerged as the winner of the 2026 FedEx Small Business Grant Contest in Asia Pacific, selected from four Forbes Asia finalists for its scalable AI-powered autonomous vehicle logistics solution. The award highlights Venti’s potential to redefine logistics operations and could accelerate its commercial growth trajectory.
2. Leadership Appointment at Lightmatter
Lightmatter named Roy Kim as vice president of product to spearhead global deployment of its photonic interconnect platforms. With over 15 years at Google, AMD and NVIDIA, Kim will oversee commercialization of the Passage™ photonic interconnect and Guide™ VLSP light engine, targeting volume adoption in advanced AI data centers.
