Veradermics rises as oral hair loss drug shows positive mid-stage data in women

MANE•The company said 89% of women on once-daily treatment and 90% on twice-daily treatment reported improved hair coverage after six months.
Patients grew about 23 additional hairs per square centimeter on average in the treated area, the company said.
The company expects data from an ongoing mid- to late-stage trial in women in the first half of 2027 and from a late-stage study in men in the second half of 2026.
Shares have risen about 12% since the company's February 4 IPO, based on the last close.
Shares of drug developer Veradermics rose 6.3% to $117.14 in premarket trading after the company said its experimental oral hair loss drug, VDPHL01, met the main goal in a mid-stage study in women with female pattern hair loss, a common condition that causes gradual hair thinning.
