Wall Street’s main indexes opened higher on Friday after a softer-than-expected jobs report deepened prospects of an unchanged U.S. rate this month, leading to a bigger drop in Treasury yields. Lower oil prices also boosted sentiment.
2. Stocks gain
Verastem gained on positive results for its ovarian cancer drug. Tesla rose on upbeat third-quarter deliveries, while Forgent climbed after Bernstein initiated coverage with an “outperform” rating.
