Verizon signs multibillion-dollar fiber supply deal with Corning for 2027-2032 buildout
VZ•Verizon and Corning announce fiber supply agreement
Verizon signed a multi-year, multi-billion dollar supply agreement with Corning for 80+ million miles of high-density optical fiber.
Deliveries run from 2027 to 2032, supporting fiber broadband expansion and long-haul backbone buildouts for AI data center connectivity.
The deal underpins Verizon’s target of 40-50 million broadband passings, using a single converged architecture across mobile and fiber networks.
The agreement also supports Corning’s plan to scale U.S. manufacturing capacity to meet Verizon’s fiber deployment needs.
