Visa’s Money Travels 2026 study found US intent to use stablecoins for cross-border transfers rose to 56% with bank-level fraud protection.
Baseline adoption intent was 36%; willingness increased to 45% when stablecoins were offered through an existing financial provider.
Trust centered on the provider: 64% said who offers the payment method matters more than the underlying technology.
Traditional commercial banks led trust to provide digital currency services at 61%, followed by global payment networks at 60%.
