Vishay Debuts 1.5 kV IHDV Inductors with 1–2.8 kΩ Impedance
VSH•Vishay Intertechnology introduced four IHDV inductors with 1.5 kV isolation in 20 x 14 x 14 mm and 25 x 20 x 23 mm packages. They deliver 1 kΩ at 80 MHz (0808 models) and 2.8 kΩ at 25 MHz (1008 models) with soft saturation and 180°C rating.
1. Product Overview
Vishay Intertechnology introduced its new IHDV line of inductors, featuring four models engineered for 1.5 kV isolation. The series includes the automotive-grade IHDV-0808AC-3A and IHDV-1008BB-3A and commercial IHDV-0808AC-30 and IHDV-1008BB-30 in 20×14×14 mm and 25×20×23 mm packages with soft saturation design and 180°C continuous operation.
2. Performance Advantages
The IHDV-0808 models deliver 1 kΩ impedance at 80 MHz, while the larger 1008 variants achieve 2.8 kΩ at 25 MHz, outperforming similar inductors by three times the impedance at four times the frequency. Powered by a powdered iron core and PET coilform insulator, these devices maintain stable inductance under load and withstand inrush currents up to five times their heat-rating current.
3. Availability and Applications
Samples and production quantities are available now with 12-week lead times. Typical use cases include on-board chargers, battery-charging circuits, power factor correction and high-voltage DC battery filtering, benefiting next-generation automotive, energy and industrial systems.
