Vishay Unveils 1200 V Gen 7 Hyperfast Rectifiers with 1 A–3 A Ratings
VSH•Vishay Intertechnology expanded its Gen 7 platform with six new 1200 V FRED Pt hyperfast rectifiers in SMPC HV packages, covering 1 A, 2 A and 3 A ratings and delivering 105 nC Qrr, 1.45 V VF, 50 ns recovery and 7.25 pF capacitance. Each device supports 70 A surge, TO-277A footprint and 5.4 mm creepage.
1. Product Launch Overview
Vishay Intertechnology announced six new Gen 7 1200 V FRED Pt hyperfast rectifiers in the compact SMPC HV package, addressing 1 A, 2 A and 3 A average current requirements. The SMPC HV footprint is compatible with TO-277A dimensions and maintains a low 1.1 mm profile for high-voltage designs.
2. Performance and Efficiency Improvements
The rectifiers feature a fast recovery time of 50 ns, reverse recovery charge as low as 105 nC, forward voltage drop down to 1.45 V and junction capacitance of 7.25 pF. They also handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 70 A and meet IEC 60664-1 creepage requirements with 5.4 mm spacing and CTI ≥ 600.
3. Applications and Availability
These devices are optimized for industrial drives, EV onboard chargers, energy storage systems and LED circuitry, serving as clamp, snubber and freewheeling diodes in high-frequency converters. Samples and production quantities are available now with an eight-week lead time.
