Vishay Unveils VOLA617A Optocoupler with 5000 V Isolation for 800 V EV Systems
VSH•Vishay introduced the VOLA617A automotive-grade phototransistor optocoupler offering 5000 V RMS isolation voltage, 1414 V peak working and 8000 V peak transient ratings in a 4-pin LSOP package. Qualified to dual AEC-Q102 standards, it supports −40 °C to +125 °C operation and is available in samples and production with eight-week lead times.
1. VOLA617A Phototransistor Optocoupler Specifications
The VOLA617A features 5000 V RMS isolation voltage, 1414 V peak working, and 8000 V peak transient ratings in a 4-pin LSOP low-profile package. It supports −40 °C to +125 °C operation (junction up to +145 °C), has 0.5 pF coupling capacitance, 80 V collector-emitter rating, and is offered in four current transfer ratio ranges while meeting dual AEC-Q102 qualification standards.
2. Automotive and Industrial Applications
Designed for grid-connected on-board chargers, DC/DC converters, battery management systems and isolated wake-up signals, VOLA617A enables signal transmission in 800 V EV platforms and industrial automation requiring high galvanic isolation.
