Vision Marine Secures First Octillion E-Motion Battery Packs With 7.5% Extra Capacity
VMAR•Vision Marine has received its first two refined high-voltage battery packs from Octillion Power Systems, offering approximately 7.5% more energy capacity per module within a similar volumetric footprint. The company has begun mechanical and electrical validation as it advances the E-Motion platform toward broader OEM integration across multiple boat classes.
1. Battery Sample Packs Delivery
Vision Marine received the first two physical battery packs built from Octillion’s refined high-voltage design for its E-Motion™ platform. Each pack delivers roughly 7.5% more energy capacity per module while maintaining a similar volumetric footprint, marking a key integration milestone.
2. Technical Advancements and Validation
The initial packs support higher-output capability and flexible configurations tailored for marine propulsion. Vision Marine has commenced mechanical fitment and electrical communication tests alongside discharge validation and thermal performance reviews within its existing E-Motion architecture.
3. Strategic Implications and Next Steps
This battery advancement aims to broaden electric propulsion options from single-pack installations on smaller boats to multi-pack configurations for larger vessels. Upcoming phases include charging compatibility assessments and vessel-level integration work to support OEM evaluation and potential commercial applications.
