VisionWave files provisional patent for GhostSight hybrid passive radar architecture
VWAV•Planned capabilities and target applications
The architecture targets long-range awareness and short-range small-object detection across multiple bands, including drones and low-altitude threats.
AI/ML fusion is planned to reduce false detections, reject ghost targets, classify objects, assign confidence, and feed a live operational map.
Proposed uses include defense and security deployments such as base protection, counter-UAS, border surveillance, airspace security, and maritime monitoring.
Provisional patent covers GhostSight hybrid passive radar design
VisionWave filed a U.S. provisional patent application (64/111,834) covering GhostSight, a hybrid passive radar and RF-sensing architecture.
The design combines ambient RF signals with company-controlled cooperative illuminator nodes, aiming to improve detection without a centralized radar transmitter.
