Vizsla Silver Taps Ex-Federal Mining Director to Accelerate Panuco Project Permitting

Vizsla Silver has named Angel Diego Gómez Olmos, ex-General Director at SEMARNAT and FIFOMI, as VP of Government Relations to lead federal permitting for its flagship Panuco silver-gold project in Sinaloa. The November 2025 feasibility study forecasts 17.4 Moz AgEq annual output, US$1.8 billion NPV5% and 111% IRR.

1. Executive Appointment

Vizsla Silver has appointed Angel Diego Gómez Olmos as Vice President of Government Relations, effective immediately. Based in Mexico City, he brings over a decade of senior leadership in mining law and regulatory affairs within Mexico’s federal agencies.

2. Government Relations Role

Mr. Gómez Olmos will oversee interactions with the Secretaría de Economía’s Dirección General de Minas and SEMARNAT to secure permits and consultations required to advance the Panuco project toward production on schedule.

3. Project Economics

The November 2025 Feasibility Study for the 100%-owned Panuco project outlines annual production of 17.4 Moz AgEq over a 9.4-year mine life, an after-tax NPV5% of US$1.8 billion, a 111% IRR and a seven-month payback at US$35.50/oz silver and US$3,100/oz gold.
