SPY•Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower as Tesla and Meta earnings did little to ease doubts about the AI outlook and oil prices rebounded. The Dow fell 0.13%, the S&P 500 dropped 0.81% and the Nasdaq slid 1.48%.
The Dow fell 67.7 points, or 0.13%, to 52,788.41 at the open. The S&P 500 declined 62.6 points, or 0.81%, to 7,694.62, while the Nasdaq dropped 394.5 points, or 1.48%, to 26,308.407.
Growth stocks came under renewed pressure after earnings from Tesla and Meta did little to dispel doubts about the AI outlook, while a rebound in oil prices added to market jitters.
