Saputo Cheese USA initiated a voluntary recall of select Great Value cottage cheese after detecting potentially unpasteurized liquid dairy during pasteurizer troubleshooting. The recall covers products distributed to Walmart stores in 23 states between February 17–20, with expiration dates in April 2026.

Walmart has pulled affected batches from shelves and confirmed that the pasteurizer has been repaired and verified by California regulators. Although no illnesses have been reported, the recall could dent customer trust and prompt shifts in supply chain deliveries for Great Value dairy offerings.
