Waymo Debuts $30 Premier Plan; Google Licenses Gemini for Siri AI

Google secured a Gemini licensing deal to power Apple’s Siri AI.

Paid weekly robotaxi trips have doubled to roughly 500,000 across ten U.S. cities in under a year, reflecting rising demand and helping Waymo refine its autonomous service footprint. The Premier launch aims to deepen engagement with commuters and high-frequency users.
3. Google Powers Siri AI
Alphabet signed a deal to license its Gemini models for Apple’s upcoming Siri AI overhaul, enabling context-aware responses without leveraging Google Search itself. This marks one of Google’s largest external AI licensing agreements, diversifying revenue beyond advertising.
