Waymo has officially opened its robotaxi service to select riders in four new cities—Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Orlando—through its mobile app. Participants in these markets can book fully driverless trips within designated service zones, experiencing the company’s autonomous ride-hailing technology firsthand.

The rollout represents Waymo’s entry into Texas and Florida, supplementing its existing Phoenix operations. Vehicles equipped with Waymo’s proprietary LiDAR, radar and camera systems will navigate mapped corridors under remote oversight, with fleet size to scale based on early user demand.

This multi-city launch supports Alphabet’s goal of commercializing autonomous mobility at scale and gathering critical data across diverse urban environments. Success in these new markets could accelerate revenue generation for Waymo and validate its approach to broader national deployment.
