The company reaffirmed 2026 earnings guidance of $5.51 to $5.61 per share, and said the outlook assumes normal weather conditions.
Quarterly profit rises on cost discipline
WEC Energy Group said second-quarter net income and earnings per share rose year over year, helped by customer service, financial discipline and operating efficiency, according to CEO Scott Lauber.
Retail electricity deliveries were essentially flat, with small commercial and industrial use down 0.2%, large commercial and industrial up 0.9%, and residential use down 1.1%. On a weather-normal basis, retail electricity deliveries rose 1.2% in the quarter.
