WeRide Inc posted 58% year-over-year Q1 2026 revenue growth to $48.5 million and delivered a positive adjusted EBITDA of $4.2 million. The autonomous driving company launched commercial services in Tokyo and Berlin and secured orders for 600 vehicles under a European deployment partnership.

1. Financial Results

WeRide reported Q1 2026 revenue of $48.5 million, up 58% from $30.7 million a year earlier, driven by increased ride-hailing volumes in Chinese pilot cities and higher licensing fees for autonomous software. Adjusted EBITDA swung positive to $4.2 million, marking the first profitable quarter on an adjusted basis and reflecting improved cost controls and higher utilization rates.

2. Market Expansion

In Q1, WeRide commenced paid autonomous taxi services in central Tokyo and central Berlin, marking its first commercial launches outside China. Initial fleets of 50 vehicles in Tokyo and 40 in Berlin generated over 10,000 trips combined, validating demand for self-driving mobility in major international markets.

3. Vehicle Deployment Partnership

WeRide inked a strategic partnership to deploy 600 vehicles with a leading European automaker, slated for phased rollout across Germany, France and Spain. The agreement covers software integration, data sharing and joint marketing, positioning WeRide to capture an estimated €45 million in service revenue over the next 12 months.

4. Future Outlook

Management reiterated full-year guidance for revenue of $250 million and a second half positive free cash flow target, citing expanding global service coverage and additional vehicle orders. The company plans further market entries in North America by mid-2026 and expects to double fleet size to over 3,000 vehicles by year end.
