3. Military Skills Mapper Enhances Veteran Hiring Through AI
Workday introduced its Military Skills Mapper feature within Workday Recruiting to translate veterans’ service backgrounds into civilian-equivalent skills. With over 200,000 service members transitioning to civilian roles annually, the tool applies AI to map leadership, technical expertise and operational discipline to private-sector job requirements. Hosted in the “My Experience” section of candidate profiles, the feature generates tailored skills recommendations that veterans can edit, enabling hiring teams to recognize high-value talent without external translation tools. The Military Skills Mapper is slated for general availability in fall 2026, supporting corporate veteran-hiring commitments and driving more strategic talent acquisition.
