Worthington Enterprises soars on Q1 beat, rosy outlook

Through Tuesday's close, WOR shares were up 14% year to date versus a 9.5% gain in the S&P 600 Industrial Machinery & Supplies & Components index .SPSMCINDM.
Management outlook
Looking ahead, CEO Joe Hayek said the company is very encouraged with the start to fiscal 2027 and opportunities seen across its business, "including rapidly growing demand for our engineered ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) tanks used in liquid cooling systems for data centers."
Revenue and earnings top estimates
Columbus, Ohio-based firm late Tuesday posted fiscal first-quarter revenue growth of 13% year over year to $343.9 million, above the LSEG estimate of $331.3 million.
Adjusted earnings per share of 82 cents beat the 75 cents per share profit modeled by analysts.
Shares jump after first-quarter beat
Shares of building and consumer products maker Worthington Enterprises WOR.N rose 16.7% premarket to $68.80 after quarterly results topped Wall Street expectations and it provided an encouraging outlook.
WOR was poised to open at its highest levels since June 2025, if gains hold.
