Wrap Technologies Expands K-Form Partnership to Scale DFR-X Drone Systems
Wrap Technologies signed purchase orders for multiple DFR-X drone-based non-lethal systems and expanded its manufacturing partnership with K-Form to accelerate U.S.-based prototyping, engineering refinement and scalable production. The agreement aims to compress DFR-X development timelines and support federal procurement and defense market integration.
1. Expanded Partnership with K-Form
Wrap Technologies has formalized purchase orders for multiple DFR-X systems under an expanded manufacturing agreement with K-Form, Inc. K-Form will provide accelerated engineering support, rapid prototyping, iterative development cycles and U.S.-based precision manufacturing to meet federal and defense industrial base requirements.
2. Commercialization of DFR-X Systems
The DFR-X platform integrates Wrap’s proven non-lethal restraint payload with unmanned aerial systems, enabling remote deployment to enhance officer safety and reduce lethal force outcomes. The new orders mark a key commercialization milestone, targeting shorter time-to-deployment and consistent production quality.
3. Strategic Market and Defense Positioning
This collaboration positions Wrap Technologies to enter broader federal, homeland security and defense markets by aligning with counter-UAS mission sets and domestic procurement standards. The enlarged partnership supports Wrap’s evolution into a full Non-Lethal Response ecosystem encompassing hardware, immersive training, policy integration and data-driven program support.
