WTW has acquired Redefind, an end-to-end web platform for cryptocurrency and digital asset insurance, to launch a non-custodial cost-of-recovery solution covering forensic investigations, asset tracing and legal recovery. The new service will debut in the UK, underpinning WTW’s strategy to expand next-generation digital asset protection.
WTW completed the acquisition of Redefind, a proprietary web-based crypto insurance platform, and has welcomed founders Richard Daws and Connor Edward into leadership roles. This transaction adds an enterprise-grade application using cryptographic proof of ownership to WTW’s global specialties practice.
The combined business will initially offer a non-custodial cost-of-recovery insurance solution in the UK, covering expenses for forensic investigation, asset tracing and legal recovery of stolen digital assets. Coverage will support both individual and institutional clients across various custody models.
This investment aligns with WTW’s strategy to expand into next-generation risk-transfer solutions for digital finance and tokenized assets. Broader market and product rollouts are planned as WTW leverages its global insurance expertise to scale crypto and digital asset protection services.
