Wyndham Hotels grew its global room count 4% year-over-year—driven by 9% international growth—and expanded its development pipeline to a record 259,000 rooms across over 2,200 hotels. Ancillary revenues rose 21%, lifting adjusted net income 9% to $73 million and adjusted EPS 12% to $0.96, with $64 million free cash flow.

1. System Expansion and Pipeline Growth

In the first quarter, the global room count rose 4% year-over-year to 869,300 rooms, led by a 9% increase in international markets. The development pipeline reached a record high of more than 259,000 rooms across over 2,200 hotels, with 77% new construction and 35% of projects already breaking ground.

2. Revenue Drivers and Profitability

Net revenues climbed 3% to $327 million, underpinned by a 21% surge in ancillary revenues and 4% net room growth. Adjusted EBITDA rose 8% to $156 million, driving adjusted net income up 9% to $73 million and adjusted EPS up 12% to $0.96, despite flat reported net income of $61 million.

3. Capital Return and Balance Sheet

Operating cash flow totaled $42 million, delivering $64 million in free cash flow. The company returned $85 million to shareholders through $51 million of share repurchases and a $0.43 per share dividend, while issuing $650 million of 5.625% senior notes to fully repay revolver and term-loan borrowings.
