Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will award $20,000 and cover seven hotel nights for a grandparent–grandchild duo to celebrate Route 66’s 100th anniversary. The program includes a $5,000 travel stipend, Wyndham Rewards Diamond membership, and social media content creation across Days Inn, Super 8, La Quinta, Ramada and Howard Johnson brands.
1. Road Trip Contest Details
Wyndham will select one grandparent–grandchild pair to drive 2,400 miles along Route 66 between July and October 2026. The winners will receive $15,000 cash plus a $5,000 travel stipend, complete a seven-night itinerary from Chicago to Santa Monica, and produce photos, videos and social content at each stop.

Participants will stay at seven Hotels by Wyndham properties, including Days Inn, Super 8, La Quinta, Ramada and Howard Johnson. Both travelers will receive Wyndham Rewards Diamond membership, official Wyndham swag and full coverage for airfare, meals, car rental and activities.
