On February 26, Xometry’s Thomas platform joined forces with Maryland MEP to enhance the digital maturity of manufacturers across the state. The collaboration aims to fortify supply chains in key sectors—including aerospace, defense, life sciences, data centers and quantum computing—by combining Thomas’s sourcing technology with MEP’s operational expertise.

The partnership will roll out a dedicated Maryland Sourcing Portal linking procurement professionals directly with state-based suppliers, conduct in-depth digital presence audits for MEP-affiliated manufacturers, and host a mid-March webinar on digital marketing best practices. These efforts seek to improve discoverability, operational resilience and market share for local industrial firms.

By expanding Thomas’s regional footprint and strengthening its supplier network, Xometry aims to drive increased platform engagement and adoption of its SaaS and marketplace services. This state-level collaboration supports Xometry’s broader strategy to digitize manufacturing and could serve as a model for future partnerships.
