Zelenskiy hopes for meeting with US and Russia during G20 summit
RKLB•Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Ukraine, the United States and Russia could meet during the G20 summit in Miami in December, but Washington and Moscow have not confirmed. He also said Starlink speed restrictions have prevented Ukrainian interceptor drones from operating.
1. Possible summit meeting
Zelenskiy said a meeting involving Ukraine, the United States and Russia could take place during the G20 summit in Miami in December, though neither Washington nor Moscow has confirmed it. He said other possible venues include a European country or the United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia. Ukrainian negotiators spoke with US officials on Friday, he added.
2. Starlink restrictions
Zelenskiy said Ukrainian interceptor drones were not operating because of speed restrictions on Starlink services. He said Ukraine had been told the restrictions resulted from technical issues, but tests in the European Union had shown no such issues. The reduction in satellite services interrupted communications with headquarters and lowered internet speeds.
