ZenaTech targets Q1 2027 flight tests for ZenaDrone 2000 interceptor prototype
ZENA•ZenaTech says the ZenaDrone 2000 prototype has reached airframe completion, with flight tests targeted for Q1 2027. The design targets a 200 kg maximum takeoff weight, a 40 kg payload and more than four hours of hover endurance.
1. Prototype progress
ZenaTech has advanced its ZenaDrone 2000 heavy-lift autonomous counter-UAS interceptor toward a first full prototype. The airframe is complete, gasoline propulsion has undergone bench testing, and the flight controller autonomy software has been ground-tested.
2. Planned test phases
Initial flight testing is targeted for Q1 2027 and is set to validate takeoff, hover, landing, more than four hours of hover endurance, 360-degree detection and autonomous navigation. Later phases target autonomous threat pursuit, multi-target engagement, coordination with the Interceptor P-1 and maritime launch and recovery.
3. Design targets
The design targets a 200 kg maximum takeoff weight, a 40 kg payload, gasoline propulsion with four 36-inch propellers and 360-degree camera coverage.
