Zhihu shareholders to vote on RMB 1.5 billion subscription in AI-focused investment fund
ZH•Shareholders to vote on AI fund subscription
Zhihu shareholders will vote on a proposed RMB 1.5 billion cash capital commitment to an AI-focused investment fund via a wholly owned subsidiary.
The subscription would buy a limited partnership interest in Tianjin Lisi Xingshen Equity Investment Partnership, with ownership capped at 30% post-closing.
The fund targets early-to-mid-stage unlisted AI and related technology companies with a mainland China nexus under a blind-pool mandate.
Management is seeking approval at an extraordinary general meeting planned for the near future.
Zhihu is backing the deal as a way to broaden access to AI investments while keeping its core online content community strategy unchanged.
