Zillow Preview will launch in April, publicly displaying premarket listings from Keller Williams, RE/MAX and HomeServices of America with mandatory photos, full address, price and property specifications. Redfin’s March 16 rollout prioritizes Compass 'coming soon' listings and offers buyers a 1% interest rate reduction or $6,000 lender credit.

1. Zillow Announces Preview Program

Zillow Preview, launching in April, will allow participating brokerages to publicly market premarket listings on Zillow, Trulia and their own sites. Listings must include at least one photo, full address, price, property specifications, taxes, HOA fees, showing instructions, listing contract date and expected market date, and will receive priority placement in search results and alerts. Initial partners include Keller Williams, RE/MAX, HomeServices of America, Side and United Real Estate.

2. Redfin Rolls Out 'Coming Soon' Listings

Since March 16, Redfin has displayed Compass 'coming soon' listings exclusively on its platform, prioritizing them in search results and showing agent contact details. Buyers submitting leads have 24 hours to connect with the listing agent before leads pass to the Compass Leads Program, and eligible buyers gain access to Rocket Preferred Pricing—either a 1% first-year rate reduction or a 0.75% lender credit up to $6,000.

3. Market and Competitive Impact

These initiatives aim to bring pre-market homes into public view within MLS frameworks, boosting early inventory visibility and user engagement. Agents can reach buyers sooner, creating new premium placement revenue and intensifying competition among listing platforms while aligning with local compliance rules.
